About Me

Hi, my name is Kellie and I am a mom of 3 boys. I love sewing in my "spare" time. I am gradually working my way through all of the patterns and fabric that I have collected over the years. ...Be patient with me :-)

Puff Stitch Beanie

Here it is...
I posted this beanie on my Facebook page and said I "made it up as I went along".

Well, I went back and wrote down every step. So here is the pattern...

I used Vanna's Choice Yarn (4 pl), and a size J hook.

Chain 4 and join with a sl stitch to beginning chain to form a ring.

ROW 1- ch 2, 11 dc into ring, join
ROW 2 - ch 2, dc into same stitch, 2 dc into each stitch around
ROW 3 - ch 2, dc into same stitch, 1dc into next stitch, * 2 dc into next stitch, 1 dc into next stitch*, repeat ** around, join
ROW 4 - ch 2, dc into same stitch, 1 dc into next 2 stitches, * 2dc into next stitch, 1 dc into next 2 stitches*
repeat ** around, join
ROW 5 - ch 2, 1 dc in each stitch around, join in with puff stitch color
ROW 6 - ch 1 to secure, work PS in same stitch (PS = yo, insert hook, pull up loop <5 times>, should have 9 loops on hook, yo, pull through all 9 loops), ch 1, *skip next stitch, work PS in next stitch*, repeat ** around, join with main color
ROW 7 and 8 - ch 2, 1 dc in each stitch around, join
ROW 9 - repeat ROW 6
ROW 10 and 11 - repeat ROW 7, join with puff stitch color
ROW 12 - ch2, hdc in each stitch around
ROW 13 and 14 - ch 2, hdc in each stitch around, join, fasten off.

Hope it works out for you!
Enjoy!
